Perfect Condition
What is the approximate worth of a remington 870 Wingmaster, year 1971? It is in perfect condition?
I am not interested in selling it, my husband recently purchased it for me, and I am simply curious. Thank you!

Ahh, no! I'm not going to squeal on your husband. It's every real man's right to buy himself an expensive new gun and, then, pass it off as a gift to his wife. (Not That I have ever done anything like that!)
Perfect condition? Well, just be aware that 870's from that era had a (litigated) issue with the quality of the barrel steel. It was considered by many analysts to be too brittle. My suggestion would be for you to: (1) Send Remington a note, give them the serial number, and ask them about your, 'new' Wingmaster. (2) Discount whatever they tell you because Remington DID pay out a large settlement on this one; and would, I am sure, like to simply forget about it - Besides, Remington's liability is now fixed. (3) Use the gun with low brass loads and you should be fine. That's what I did with mine; and, over a 30 year timeperiod, I fired thousands and thousands of trap and skeet rounds through it.)
Gauge? Chamber? Vent rib? High gloss finish? Fancy hand checkering? Interchangeable Chokes? What? Somewhere between $450 to $650 dollars.
