Are you disabled and have people discriminated against you?
My friend and I are doing a project on discrimination and our main topic is discrimination against the disabled.
We are looking from personal Stories From real people on being disabled and being discriminated whether just in a store, in a work place, and it doesn't matter if you're physically or mentally disabled.

1) I was informed by my U.S. Congressman, the Dishonorable Herb Bateman of Virginia, that "The disabled has no rights to live much less deserve equal protection under the law" all because I had the nerve to question a law that dates back to 1938 that allows employers to pay the disabled anyway they please. BTW, he died about 10 years ago and has been feeding the worms with his fat *ss ever since.
2) I live in the Communist-Wealth of Virginia where I went to Woodrow Wilson Rehab Center in 1990. They tried to push "classes" on me that involved cleaning up after the "normal" people of society when I told them to go f*ck themselves. They instead placed me in an Electronics Course but when I finished up, they never found me a job. The only thing they could tell me is "If you go back to college, we will throw your records in the trash." That didn't stop me because I went back anyway where I later graduated with highest honors and is up for a promotion with the company that I currently work for. So much for a career in toilet scrubbing.
3) I had the 'pleasure' of being called "An extremely simple man" by the Communist-Wealth of Virginia and this irritating b*tch who called me this because of my speech impediment continued with this insult by informing me "You need to stick to jobs that you know how to do (Clean up after the 'normal people of society') because people like You Don't have the mentality to do anything else." I showed this b*tch exactly what I could do when I faxed that insulting letter straight to her boss, my state congress/ senator, and governor demanding an apology from them. I never got a direct apology from them BUT I did cause this b*tch to lose her job. Maybe, next time she would learn to watch her mouth.
4) My parents informed me that I was wasting their time and money going to college because people like me (Learning Disabled "Retards") would never amount to anything, but I told them to mind their own damn business and I went to/ graduated college anyway. I'm in the process of starting Graduate School where I'm still having to tell them to mind their own damn business because they don't think that someone like me could handle graduate school.
5) I had a former supervisor of mine; back when I did labor work, to call me names like "stupid" and "disabled retarded" because of my disability; yet, the thought that a square had only one side to it. They were so vocal about 'their' stupidity that one day when we were putting in a water line on Langley Air Base, I had both a U.S. Air Force Colonial and a Two-Star General take up for me and state that I was the only intelligent one working at that site in front of this clown. I routinely had civil service personnel ask me "How can you stand having those loud mouth idiots call you those insulting names like they do?" I would state "I'm broke and I need the job." Little to say, those clowns were the laughing stock at Langley for the almost 2 years we were there. However, I would not put up with the sh*t now, regardless of what my family might think. In fact, I would disown my family and file charges against my employer before I put up with this from another employer again.
6) I was also denied health insurance by Southland Insurance Company due to having epilepsy.
BTW, my disabilities include: learning disability, epilepsy, speech impediment, and lack of mobility/ metal plate in my left elbow due to an injury back in 2004.
These stories are true and everything that I stated was put down in writing, including the "reasons" behind not to hire me, give me insurance, etc...
